What it is
An additional lens, working with your eye
An implanted lens
EVO ICL is a flexible Collamer lens placed behind the iris and in front of the natural lens. It adds corrective power rather than removing corneal tissue to reshape the eye’s focusing surface. Insertion still requires a small incision.
Removal or exchange
A surgeon may remove or exchange the lens if appropriate. This requires another operation with its own risks and does not guarantee return to the eye’s original condition.

Common questions about ICL
What correction is possible with ICL?
The available correction depends on the proposed lens and your examination. Your surgeon reviews myopia, any astigmatism and eye measurements before advising what is suitable.
What if the eye feels uncomfortable?
Sensations vary after surgery. Contact the clinic about new discomfort and follow the care instructions. Seek prompt eye care for severe or worsening pain or a sudden reduction in vision.
Can the lens be removed later?
A surgeon may remove or exchange it if clinically appropriate. That is another operation with risks and does not guarantee a complete reversal of changes to the eye or vision.
What risks should I discuss?
Discuss glare or halos, changes in eye pressure and the possible need for lens repositioning, removal or exchange. An examination and ongoing follow-up are important but do not eliminate all risks.
How should I plan my stay in Korea?
Plan your visit around the examination, lens availability, surgery and required checks. Keep onward travel flexible until the clinic has reviewed your recovery and confirmed the follow-up plan.
