Privacy and cookies
This notice explains consultation-information handling and cookie choices on the Gangnam Smile Eye Clinic website.
Who handles your information and why?
Portzone (포트존) collects and manages consultation information submitted through this form. It uses the information to review your request, contact you and coordinate a consultation with Gangnam Smile Eye Clinic.
Information collected
The form asks for your name and WhatsApp/phone number (with country code). Email address is optional. Request processing also involves the submission page path, site identifier, processing-language value, consent choice and time, and processing history linked to the request record.
Please provide only the information needed to arrange contact. Do not enter passport details, identification numbers, medical records or other sensitive information in the initial contact form. If further information is needed, ask the coordinator how to provide it.
Portzone’s retention period
Portzone retains consultation information for 3 years from the date it receives the information. This applies to Portzone consultation information, not the clinic’s medical-record retention period.
The two periods begin on each organisation’s own receipt date, which may differ. The clinic’s consultation-information period is separate from any retention rules for clinical records.
Information shared with the clinic
Portzone shares your name, WhatsApp/phone number and, if provided, email address with Gangnam Smile Eye Clinic to coordinate your consultation. The clinic uses it to review your request, contact you and provide a consultation, and retains it for 3 years from the date it actually receives the information. You choose collection and use consent and clinic-sharing consent separately.
Your consent choices
You may decline either consent. Requesting clinic consultation coordination through this form requires consent to collection and use and to clinic sharing. You can browse the website without giving these consents.
Optional analytics and consultation requests
Optional analytics cookie settings and consultation-information consent are separate. You can request a consultation after rejecting optional analytics. Records used to process and follow up on your request are handled separately from website usage analytics.
Personal-information requests
To request access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing or withdrawal of consent, contact sales@portzone.co.kr.
Necessary cookies and saved choices
Necessary cookies support website functions and remember your consent settings. The current consent-management cookies, whose names begin with cmplz_, are set to remember choices for 365 days. This browser-cookie period is not the retention period for consultation records or Clarity data.
Optional Statistics: Microsoft Clarity
Microsoft Clarity is a third-party service provided by Microsoft. It helps us understand page use through interaction recordings, click information and heatmaps. It loads after you allow Statistics. Marketing is a separate, optional choice; you do not need to enable it to allow Statistics.
Clarity masking is configured to hide text and form inputs from recordings. This setting does not replace the instruction to share only necessary information in a consultation request.
Clarity can use browser identifiers to link visits. The _clck cookie remembers a site-specific identifier and preferences; _clsk joins page views into a session. Their cookie expiry is separate from Microsoft’s server-data retention. See Microsoft’s cookie documentation for the cookie descriptions and its privacy statement for Microsoft’s handling of data.
How long Clarity keeps data
Microsoft’s retention documentation, updated on 30 June 2026, lists 30 days for playback data and 9 months for labelled or favourited sessions. Heatmap and click data are kept for 9 months. These periods apply to Clarity data, not consultation requests or consent cookies.
Advertising measurement: Google Ads
When a visit to this website starts from one of our Google ads, Google Ads measures whether that visit led to a consultation request or a click on a contact button. Outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, this measurement is on by default. In those regions it stays off unless you allow Marketing.
This measurement can set Google advertising cookies whose names begin with _gcl_ and can send the ad-click identifier to Google. We do not send consultation answers or contact details to Google Ads, and advertising personalisation stays off unless you allow Marketing. To withdraw, choose Reject optional cookies in Manage consent: the site asks your browser to remove its _gcl_ advertising cookies, withdraws consent for advertising identifiers, and does not initialise the Google Ads tag on pages you open afterwards. On the page already open, the previously loaded Google Ads tag may still send cookieless signals until you leave or reload it. Ad-click identifiers in Google Ads requests are redacted while advertising storage consent is denied. If you keep Statistics enabled, Google Analytics continues running on this and subsequent pages and may use analytics cookies and send page URLs containing ad-click identifiers.
Mediport website statistics
Our separate Mediport website-usage tracker is temporarily paused while its retention arrangements are being confirmed. This pause concerns visit and contact-link statistics, not the records needed to receive and handle your consultation request.
Rejecting or changing optional cookies
- You can reject optional cookies in the cookie banner or choose categories in its settings. Necessary functions remain available.
- To change your choice later, open Manage consent, change Statistics or another optional category, and save your preferences. Turning Statistics off stops future Clarity recording through this site’s consent controls.
- Changing cookie consent does not automatically erase information already held. For a personal-information request, contact sales@portzone.co.kr. Microsoft’s privacy statement explains its own request channels.
- Your browser can also remove or block cookies. Removing saved consent cookies may cause this website to ask for your choice again.
